Today was just a day with my dad, Wayne, and my step-father, Stephen. They did some yard work and I kinda chilled (I asked if they wanted help, but they respectfully declined (: ). We made what they called “Sun-tea”, where you make normal tea but you let the sun warm it up and steep it, it was yummy. For dinner, we made pasta with tomato sauce along with a salad. It was all so delicious and we all helped out with something. It was a nice time bonding over cooking.
These two guys play a huge part in why I am who I am today, along with my mother, Lauren. Without them, I would not be doing this blog or even going to school for Culinary. They continue to support me in whatever I set my mind to. I love them more than anything!
Hope to have you over for dinner again!
Yesterday, me and the dads went to our friends, Greg and Kathy’s, house for a cookout. We brought our deviled eggs made with horseradish mustard instead of Dijon (makes it so much better in my opinion). We had a blast, got to see a lot of friends, and had some amazing food. We had normal New York cookout food: Hamburgers, Hot dogs 9we even had venison hotdogs), Tomato Pie (which is basically pizza with a sprinkle of pecorino romano cheese instead of a layer of mozzarella and some more spices in the sauce), along with macaroni salad, fruit salad, and brownies. Everything was delicious and the company was equally enjoyable.
Come dine with me again sometime!
Last Friday, my father, step-father, our friends, Mike and Teri, and me went to the Crystal Chandelier for dinner. The food there was delicious and the atmosphere and service were amazing. The manager was very friendly and stopped by our table to chat with us and see how we have been. This restaurant has a bar as well as a catering place for special events like weddings, parties, etc. Overall, this place is beautifully made and the food and service do it great honor. It is located next to a campsite so the spring and summer seasons are their busiest times. Anyone can tell that the establishment is well maintained and the staff are genuinely friendly. As soon as you walk in, you can feel sort of warm feeling in the air. I highly recommend this place for events or if you want to have a nice meal with your friends and get a wonderful experience!
Hope you can have dinner with me again!
